This policy explains refunds for Weatherly Pro subscriptions purchased through the Weatherly website. It applies to both monthly and annual plans. Weatherly Free has no subscription charge.
Your first payment: a 14-day refund guarantee
If Weatherly Pro is not right for you, you can request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your first successful subscription payment. You do not need to give a reason.
For subscriptions with a free trial, this voluntary refund period starts when your first payment is successfully charged, not when the trial begins. The guarantee covers the first payment for either a monthly or an annual subscription. It does not restart when you renew, change plans, or resubscribe.
This guarantee is additional to any refund or cancellation rights you have under applicable law.
Free trials and cancellation
New Pro subscribers receive a five-day free trial. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge.
You can cancel future renewals through the Stripe customer portal linked from your Weatherly billing dashboard. The portal shows when cancellation takes effect. Uninstalling the extension does not cancel your subscription.
Cancellation and a refund request are separate actions. Cancelling prevents future renewals according to the date shown in the portal; it does not automatically refund a payment already made. Unless a refund or another arrangement ends your access earlier, Pro remains available until the cancellation takes effect.
Renewals and requests outside the guarantee
Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval selected at checkout unless cancelled before renewal.
The 14-day first-payment guarantee does not apply to renewal payments. If a renewal was unexpected, contact us promptly. We review renewal refunds and other requests outside the guarantee individually, considering the circumstances, any billing or service issues, and your applicable consumer rights.
We do not routinely provide prorated refunds for unused days or months after cancellation. This does not limit refunds or other remedies required by law.
Duplicate charges and billing errors
If you believe you were charged twice for the same subscription period, charged an incorrect amount, or charged after a cancellation that should already have taken effect, contact us so we can investigate.
We will refund confirmed duplicate or incorrect charges. These requests are separate from the 14-day first-payment guarantee.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with the subject Weatherly refund request.
Please include:
- The email address associated with your Weatherly account or subscription.
- The payment date and amount.
- Your Stripe invoice or receipt number, if available.
- A short description of any billing issue, if relevant. A reason is not required for a request under the first-payment guarantee.
For the voluntary guarantee, send your request within 14 calendar days of the first successful payment. We use the date you send the request to determine whether it is within that period; our review time does not shorten it.
Please do not send your full card number, security code, account password, or other sensitive payment information.
How refunds are returned
Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method. We will confirm by email when the refund has been submitted.
Most card refunds appear within 5–10 business days after submission, although timing depends on your bank and payment method. Some refunds appear as a reversal of the original charge rather than a separate credit. See Stripe's refund guidance for more information.
If a refund does not appear, reply to our confirmation email so we can help check its status.
Subscription access after a refund
If a refund includes cancellation or an earlier end to Pro access, we will explain the effect on your subscription in the refund confirmation. A refund by itself should not be treated as confirmation that future renewals have been cancelled. You can check the subscription status in your billing dashboard and customer portal.
If you want to stop future payments, cancel your subscription as described above or ask us to help with cancellation when requesting your refund. Weatherly Free remains available when Pro access ends.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law. Depending on your location and circumstances, these may include withdrawal, cancellation, and remedies for digital services that are not supplied or do not conform to the contract.
The five-day trial and voluntary first-payment guarantee do not replace statutory rights. Where applicable law gives you greater rights or requires a different refund process or deadline, that law takes priority.
Changes to this policy
The policy presented at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase, subject to applicable law. We may update this policy for future purchases and will show the effective date on the published version.
